Global Wildlife Protection

A Global call to protect Earth’s last rhinos – join the fight to save them with a hands-on experience

Help Stamp Out The Extinction of Our Rhino

As of 2025, there are only 17,464 white rhino and 6421 black rhino in Africa. More than 50% of these iconic animals are protected by game farmers. The pressure on these conservancies is relentless and these wildlife conservancies need our help. Why not join in helping save the last bastions of these beautiful creatures with the opportunity of a hands-on interaction in the management of this fast-declining species?

Help Stamp Out The Extinction of Our Rhino

Across Africa, fewer than 23,000 white and black rhinos remain. Behind every one of these animals is a daily fight — against poaching, habitat pressure, rising costs, and the constant burden placed on the private conservancies and game farmers who protect more than many people realise. Their work is relentless, often unseen, and vital to the survival of one of Africa’s most iconic species.

Rhino Expeditions gives you the rare opportunity to step beyond the role of observer and become part of that protection effort. This is not simply a safari; it is a hands-on conservation experience where you stand alongside the people working to safeguard rhinos for future generations. Join the mission, feel the weight of the work, and leave knowing that your journey has helped protect something truly irreplaceable.

Rhino-11

Air Experience

Darting is generally from the air. At some stage you will experience a birds eye view of the ongoing operation. The pilot and veterinarian will explain each action taken by them

Ground Experience

Those of us on the ground will gently manoeuvre the rhino into the sternal recumbency position. The rhino team will take the lead, calling our eco-tourists to help when it's safe

White Rhinos

White rhinos are generally easier to work with, as they often go down in open areas. As part of this unforgettable experience, you'll be directly involved in every step of the process — from placing the eye cover and ear plugs to fitting the tracking collar and monitoring their vital signs.

Black Rhinos

Black rhino find the thickest bush to hide in and so when the drug takes effect we need to work fast.

Tracking Collar

This collar enables the rhino to be tracked and located 24/7. Your participation in these operations will help increase the survival rate of these endangered animals.
